Greece Central Schools

As the largest suburban school district in Monroe County, and the eighth-largest district in New York State, Greece Central serves most of the Town of Greece. The Greece Central School District was created in July 1928, but schools existed in the area before the Town was established in 1822. Greece Central staff work to provide each student with a dynamic education that suites his or her individual needs. Students consistently perform at levels that meet or exceed state standards and are awarded hundreds of college scholarships each year.

In addition to a strong academic program, Greece Central offers a variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities. Community involvement is welcomed, and the district is fortunate to have thousands of community partners and volunteers. A variety of programs exist within Greece Central to get residents involved in schools and to get students involved in the community.

The District also enjoys active community involvement with residents'

input on budget advisory committees, key leader search committees, parent associations, planning teams and sports and extra-curricular involvement. The district strongly supports the school wide enrichment model with four dedicated enrichment specialists who serve the elementary and middle schools.
